Terms and Conditions Of Travel
All prices are in AUD and include GST, National Park and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park entry fees, a professional skipper and host, and the use of snorkel equipment and stinger suits. Food and catering are additional. All bookings must be paid in full before the booking date.
Private day charter cancellations: Cancellations more than 14 days before departure incur a 20% fee of the total charter fee. Cancellations between 48 hours and 14 days incur a 50% fee. Cancellations within 48 hours of departure incur a 100% fee. No refund is given for a no-show, and transaction fees are not refundable.
Operator cancellations: If Whitsundays Private Charters cancels due to weather or any other reason, rescheduling options are offered subject to availability, and a refund is issued if none are available. If guests cannot travel due to government restrictions, any refund due is paid and the remainder is held as a credit for 12 months.
Short-notice bookings: Bookings and catering requested within 24 hours of departure may not be able to be fulfilled.
On the day: Guests must check in and be ready to board at least 10 minutes before departure, or the vessel may be reassigned. The operator may alter the price, departure time or departure point when required, is not liable for delays caused by weather, marine incidents or breakdowns, and recommends travel insurance. Guests must follow the Master's directions at all times. Service may be refused, without refund, to anyone believed to be affected by alcohol or drugs. Guests may be filmed or photographed, and the footage may be used by the operator.
Health & safety: Adventure travel involves risk, and the operator cannot be responsible for damage, injury or loss caused by guests' own actions. At certain times of year dangerous jellyfish are present, and guests enter the water at their own risk. Anyone who may be pregnant, has back, neck or heart conditions, or any condition that may put their health at risk must tell the operator or the Master before departure. Adults may be asked to sign an Assumption of Risk form, and a parent or guardian signs for minors. Guests with symptoms of illness such as cough, fever or sore throat may be refused boarding.
