This Whitsundays Spearfishing Charter is operated by Prosail and departs from Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach, North Queensland and is a one of a kind trip to the Outer Great Barrier Reef.
Set sail on Prosail’s largest vessel of the fleet, “Condor” for 5 days and 4 nights of spearfishing around the Great Barrier Reef. This boat charter has 5 qualified crew and meals will be prepared for you 3 times daily
More than 35 nautical miles offshore, this sailing trip targets 30+ species of fish and is an action-packed adventure of a lifetime
Whitsundays Spearfishing Charter Itinerary
The reef location we choose will be closer to the departure date will take into consideration prevailing weather conditions, tidal movement, swell and visibility.
Itinerary:
Day 1 – 9:30 am departure from Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach. Transit to first reef location (weather dependent) spear brief followed by spear session (time dependant)
Day 2 – Full day spearing broken up into two sessions
Day 3 – Full day spearing broken up into two sessions with possible mothership change of location.
Day 4 – Full day spearing broken up into two sessions
Day 5 – Transit back to Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach. Arrive back by approx. 3:30 pm

Divers are to be completely self-sufficient when it comes to gear. This includes spares and repairs.

Just finished a 4 day 3 night sailing on Condor with the amazing crew hosting us. Tommy, Marlee and Dan are fantastic and hilarious hosts.What an exceptional experience; the food, the walks, the snorkelling... It was all wonderful and blew away any expectations I had coming in. Not once did it feel crowded on the boat or any locations the crew took us to. Nights are pitch black which is great for any stargazers. Hands down the best tour I've experienced. Thank you Prosail for the unforgettable experience. I'm already planning my next trip; keen on the spearfishing or free diving one.

The most amazing crew to sail in the Whitsundays! I joined the yoga and sailing retreat from ‘A Wilde Life’ and I can’t begin to explain how magical those 4 days/ 3 night were aboard the beautiful Broomstick boat. Blake, Bridget and Kaylee were Professional, friendly, they kept us safe and we’ll fed and they know the best secret spots around the islands for snorkeling, hiking, fishing, photography, sunrise, sunsets, and swimming! I’m definitely coming back for another yoga retreat or to try the spearfishing trip with Prosail!

Just had three nights and four days on Broomstick on a photographic tour.Whilst not a photographic enthusiast myself I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.Snorkelling in pristine waters island hikes and amazing sailing.The crew were incredibly helpful and loads of fun.The accommodation was comfortable and the food delicious.I would highly recommend a Prosail adventure to anyone who wants a real experience of the gorgeous Whitsundays.Many thanks guys.Mandia Robertson

While the food was nutritious and the views were amazing, this tour is not appropriate for moderately fit seniors or anyone who gets claustrophobia in the coffin sized bunk beds. The crew did try to accommodate me by suggesting the I sleep on the bed under the serving counter but I would have to awaken at 6:00 am so food could be served. I found one of the crew rather age-ist and would not recommend this Hammer cruise for a senior.

Fantastic trip with my family of course (two kids, 10/13) on the Hammer (2 nights). Amazing crew--Tommy, Dan, Sophie--all very helpful, lovely people, who made for a very memorable experience. Food was great, company was great, and the views/snorkeling were beautiful. Well worth the expense.

Just went on the spearfishing charter, which was absolutely epic.Heaps of time in the water at some incredible and diverse reefs, shallow and deep, with great coral and some incredible visibility in places. Tonnes of fish life, reefies like trout and emperor to chase as well as mackerel and tuna cruising around the drop offs.The crew are the best bunch of high-stoke dudes who clearly absolutely love it and hang out with everyone like mates, while also working hard to make sure everyone gets onto some great fish, eats well, stays safe and has a sick time.This is not a luxury cruise, it's an adventure, you can't see land, there's no reception, you're in bunk beds or hammocks (which I loved) and you're eating from the sea every day (but not every meal).There's all kinds of amazing stuff to encounter on the reef as well as the new mates you make on the boat, can't wait for the next one.All up 10/10 froth

An excellent tour! From the beginning Josh, Blake and Dan went above and beyond to ensure our trips was the best! From running back up the jetty to find us last minute lemonade, to helping us hone our Mojito making skill to enjoy a sunset cocktail, the boys were amazing! The knowledge and passion they have for the local area meant that we avoided overcrowded beaches and instead got to enjoy slices of paradise all to ourselves. Each meal served was better than the last and, to top it all off cruising around the Whitsundays with the wind in our sails was truly spectacular!

My 4 day/3 night trip with Prosail and Clear Tides on Condor was nothing less than a dream holiday. I’m still on high from the incredible experience and already planning when I can come back! I cannot express how awesome the Prosail crew are. A huge shoutout to Josh, Dan and Dave who went above and beyond to give us the best trip possible and make us feel a part of a fam. It was hard to say goodbye!Our trip ticked all the boxes epic sailing, snorkelling, yoga, walks, beach clean ups, sunset drinks, great food, even better company and lots of laughs. It was was the perfect pace and balance, as we fitted a lot in during our time yet it still felt relaxed and chilled throughout. If you are looking for an unforgettable adventure, this is it! What an amazing mini holiday. We had 3 days/2 nights on board "Condor" with Tommy, Troy and David.We were a group of 3 adults and there was a range of activities that suited us all (age range 27-58). A great way to see the islands and we were lucky with the weather with only the occasional shower.The crew was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. This included great food, hot drinks and lots of laughs.Thank you so much Prosail!

3 days/2 nights on board "Condor" with Tommy, Troy and David. It was an amazing experience, much more than expected, food was great, skipper and deckies always friendly with a smiling face. We had a very good combination of swimming, snorkeling, hiking, relaxing, sailing. We ( group of 4 adults) enjoyed every single day. Thank you so much for it. And we will be back next year, promise.

Back on land after 4 Days / 3 Nights on board “Condor” with Josh & his super crew, already planning when our next ProSail adventure can be! Our Family of 4 (kids 15/12) had the best time exploring the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef, in this epic and unique way! The knowledge of the crew and their passion and love of sailing and diving ensured that every moment was memorable and left us “frothing” for more 😉 Food was better than restaurant quality (every meal got better and better - just like each location we were taken too!) The Prosail Spearfishing adventure was second to none. I can not express how amazing the trip was. I’m still on a high from it days after. I can’t help but tell everyone how awesome it was. So many amazing experiences in one trip, the crew are the biggest legends. They become your mates and part of the experience. They ate, drank, dived and hang out like good mates. The food was on point! I never went hungry. They shared their knowledge of the area, they even helped the newer guys to spearfishing with teaching them in the water. I could say so much more. It was unreal and I can’t wait to go again. It would be one the best if not the best trips I’ve ever done. Hands down a unique experience that no other trips offers. The pro sail crew should be so proud. See you all again soon! Do yourself a favour and do it! You won’t regret it!

Just came back from 3 nights and four days on broomstick and it was one of the most incredible trips I have ever been on. The crew, Penny, Benny and Crispy, were such genuinely lovely humans and made this experience that much more memorable. The food, vibes, humour, info, sailing, activities and magic tricks were 10/10. I highly, highly recommend going with prosail!! 🙂

My experience with Prosail was incredible! Josh, Ben and Sara were the best crew ever and looked after us so well. It was super windy the whole time so we got some epic sailing in. Josh is so knowledgeable about the area that he still pulled an awesome itinerary out of the bag despite the difficult weather conditions.I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to explore the whitsundays.
